Though, deciding over the comparative importance of the incidents is a tough job. It depends upon your area of preference along with your perspective. For example: a cricket lover would give priority to incident like 'decline of Australian cricket during 2009', as Australians were undisputed champs in cricket for almost two decades. For Nepalese context, the flood havoc created by damage of the Koshi dam may be considered as one of the most dominating incidents that happened this year.
