Netrajee, you have raised some really genuine issues! Regarding the fact that Buddha was born in Nepal, apart from this mere claim, we never thought of following the "Buddha path". Nepal continues to be a disturbed state where killing has become one of the most common things; what an irony! Its high time that we start believing in the Buddha's teaching of 'non-violence & mutual acceptance'...

These are examples of the collective unconsciousness, how we run after the appearance rather than the essance, disguised in the name of natioanlity, identity or whatever name we give it.

Buddha example ia also no exception. I always feel sorry to ourselves. Yes he was born in Nepal. But, We always run after very superficial thing. Could we be able to keep buddha teaching? Did/do we love him? Now we have to go for Tibat, Burma or Japan to search the essance of his teaching.

Very well said...I was also surprised when I was watching " Chandani chauk to china" when I heard Lord buddha was born in India. I knew that Nepalese people will not tolerate this..as this is not the first time, the mistake has been done by Indian BollyWood people, we had several issues in the past as well. I must say this, Indian film makers think Buddha was born in India..I guess they need to do some detailed study before bringing these false information among the people. As the result, movie proved itself as a big time flop....
I would like to bring one more interesting information regarding Akshya Kumar, who was selected as best Actor and he gave that award to Amir Khan..I think that was totally gross....
he thought he will become a bigger star than ShahRukh Khan just by doing that stupid thing like a KID! He didn't even realized that he are loosing his fans by doing that... "No Offense please if anyone gets hurt after reading my comment"

Anyway..it was a great article to discuss and bring it to our attention...

Thanks for such a nicely analyzed post! people try to find internal happiness through external means and so do their best to achieve it. so I agree with you that "People always desire more and sometimes, they don't care even if it comes at someone else's expense".

Regarding the issue of Buddha's birth, even people from India know that Buddha was born in Nepal. and Ashok, the famous Indian emperor who was also devoted in Buddhism, erected a pillar where Buddha was born and that pillar is still standing tall in the Lumbini, Nepal. anyway, since the movie director of Chandni chowk to China has already apologized, its a closed chapter now.

Finally, i found these lines very much true "As long as we are not hurting anyone's sentiment or not willing to take any undue advantage out of something, there is no harm in associating ourselves with any success or glory as this may result in optimism and inspire many among us". btw, i always admire how you choose your post titles. keep it up :-)
