Why regret?

I've been dwelling around life for years
giving fake smiles and hiding tears
while searching for the miracle rays
got sleepless nights and restless days

I've been spending way too long
trying to figure out what went wrong
If I could re-live my past again
I would plan things to avoid the pain

I've been asking time after time
why my heart is not always mine
why at times, my head hangs low
why do I cry, I fail to know

I've been wondering if I know what to say
as years go by and time fades away
If all is in the future we can't see yet
for whatever we did, why regret ?

The last poem I read was also on your blog. Thank you very much for excellent work. Though I am not a great lover of poetry especially in English, but your creation has changed my thinking. Keep on, Deependra ji!

Deep meaning expressed in the most simple way. Admire your writing skills, Prof. Jha. BTW, I never regret what happened to me in my past. I am a firm believer of this humble statement: Everything happens for good. But then I also say: Always ask for what you want, not everyone gets a gift. I think there will certainly be other things as well to learn from you than just Sun and Wind.
