(Home: a painting by my daughter Ananya while she was in grade 2)
There's nothing more fulfilling
than coming home
Even when the whole world
shuts its door on you
Someone's there
who can't wait to see you
and to hold you in embrace
Find yourself there
Fall into the sweetest of dreams
and hope no one wakes you up
than coming home
Even when the whole world
shuts its door on you
Someone's there
who can't wait to see you
and to hold you in embrace
Find yourself there
Fall into the sweetest of dreams
and hope no one wakes you up

Nice poem!!!
Beautiful thoughts full of wisdom,
-Richard
Again its a nice piece. Indeed its when someone is there, who cares, that we feel like life is worth living. But, on the other side, thinking that there is a force which is ALWAYS there, waiting for you to think about it? Waiting patiently, silently. That is our own SELF. Think about it deeply. That ONE which is always there for us, but which is least thought of.
Simple but very touching one.
Not only the poem, I feel the painting also gives some kind of ‘homely feeling’ and is very beautiful (as you have described it that it was drawn by your daughter while she was in grade 2)
* I think the last word of second line is “home” (right?).
Thanks Dilip ji for pointing out the mistake. It was an error and I have corrected it. Thanks once again.
Very beautiful poem! And Ananya seems to have good talent for painting. Please share more with us too!
great sentiments expressed in a beautiful way! thanks for sharing such a wonderful poem. Ananya seems to have a very good artistic sense. Loved her 'home'. cheers!
Sweet piece!
"Even when the whole world
shuts its door on you"
The world would open door in condition. It will close its door now or later afterall.
" Someone's is there
who can't wait to see you
and to hold you in embrace"
In home door are open unconditionally, accepted who you are!
I always read your poems. they are excellent.
thanks for sharing.
A beautiful poem, Deependra, I'm sure that all your readers will echo your sentiments. Mind you, I wouldn't mind waking up to find that same someone there!

I like your imagery, would like to see longer poems as you have a tallent to express yourself and I enjoyed reading your work. Good Luck!
Thanks you all for your encouraging comments. In fact, I wrote this small piece when I visited home last month after almost a year. And, I am glad that you all liked the poem.
@ Dilipji, Basantji and alok, thanks for appreciating Ananya's work. I have conveyed it to her and she obviously felt happy about it. I am grateful to you all for boosting her confidence!
